Back in June, our Dawson International Truck Centres location in Kamloops hosted the local group from Thompson Community Services (TCS) for an afternoon filled with learning, laughter and memories.
“My heart was so full after their visit. Nobody could wipe the smiles off their faces after spending some time with them. That was honestly one of the best days we’ve ever had here,” said Jackie Miller, Branch Manager.
Iqbal, a Respite Care Worker with TCS, reached out to Miller after they had interest generated in the group from seeing our trucks out around town. Miller quickly responded and envisioning ways to make this a larger event.
Four members of the group and their support workers made it out for a tour of the shop where they checked out the trucks, our equipment and joined our staff for a barbecue.
The TCS team had plenty of questions for our staff and were eager to learn about everything at Dawson International.
Feedback from TCS was overwhelmingly positive, and our staff echoed how splendid of a time they had.
