Supporting the communities we live, work and play in is a priority at Dawson Group.
With our operations spread across this beautiful province, Dawson Group wanted to pair with a non-profit organization that had the ability to impact each of the different areas we had an office or jobsite in. Five years ago, we partnered with the United Way and established an annual two-week campaign in the fall, where we showed our support with donations and volunteer efforts to give back to our communities.
We are proud to say that with our company’s efforts this year, we managed to raise $13,638 for local, non-profit organizations across B.C., which brings our five-year total just shy of $100,000.
Each donation stays local, as they were connected to the donors postal code, meaning the funds get processed and go directly to supporting non-profit organizations in the donors community.
Here are some highlights and contributions to our United Way campaign:
- Boogie the Bridge fundraising run, where corporate employees dressed up as field workers for a half marathon (jeans, hard hat, gloves, hi-vis vest and safety glasses)
- Pancake breakfast
- NHL playoffs and NCAA March Madness office pools
